The scientific event Neural Mechanisms of Cognitive Function, organized by researchers from the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD), in Macaíba, the University of Oxford, in the United Kingdom, and the National Center for Biological Sciences (NCBS), in India, had its registration deadline extended until Monday (24).
Researchers of any level of education, whether working in Brazil or in other countries around the world, can participate in the event. The event will take place from April 10 to 14, 2025, at the Pipa Atlântico Hotel, in Praia de Pipa, Rio Grande do Norte. Registration is free and must be completed through the link: https://forms.gle/JPeR9sqpRdQV5xvZ8.
Promoted with resources from awards from the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) and the Simons Foundation, the event brings together researchers from all over the world in a program with lectures, round tables, moments of socialization and presentation of works.
Those interested in participating are invited to submit papers for the event, following the guidelines set out in the registration form. The submitted abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee of the event and some of them will be selected for presentations at the event.
The event was conceived by ISD research professors Andressa Radiske and Maria Carolina Gonzalez, together with Oxford researcher Vitor Lopes dos Santos and Abhilasha Joshi, a professor at the Indian institution NCBS.
For ISD researcher Andressa Radiske, events like this play a fundamental role in fostering scientific collaboration. “Interaction with experts from different parts of the world strengthens collaboration networks and increases the visibility of regional scientific production. These connections also drive the development of projects, publications and new research opportunities,” she says.
