Registration is now open for the 10th edition of the Santos Dumont Institute Neuroengineering Symposium; find out how to register

Registration is now open for the Neuroengineering Symposium, an event held annually by the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) in the city of Macaíba, in Rio Grande do Norte. The event, which is in its tenth edition this year, will take place between November 12 and 14. The 2024 edition will be held in person and registration can be done through the platform Congresse.me. 

In its decade of existence, the ISD Symposium seeks to complement the training and performance of researchers and students and stimulate the exchange of knowledge through the integration of professionals from different areas. 

In 2024, the event's program will include lectures related to brain-machine interface, neuromodulation, biomedical signal and image processing, biomechanics, rehabilitation, emotions and others. The event will also feature poster presentations and scientific papers, with awards for the best productions. 

The opening will be given by professor Hugo F. Posada-Quintero from the University of Connecticut, in the United States, who will speak about the detection and prediction of diseases, emotions and neurodiversity using biomedical signals and images.

In addition to the lectures, participants will be able to sign up for tutorials, in which they will attend theoretical and practical classes on topics such as the use of brain-machine interfaces for rehabilitation and neuromodulation techniques, among others.

In its tenth edition, the event will also feature a tour of the IIN-ELS laboratories and facilities, with presentations by the Institute's Research Ethics Committee and Animal Use Ethics Committee.

Registration must be made via the Symposium page on the website Congresse.me. The values are R$ 50 for students and R$ 100 for professionals.
