The Santos Dumont Institute, a Social Organization linked to the Ministry of Education (MEC), announced this Wednesday (28) the opening of registrations in a selection process for scientific and technological initiation scholarships aimed at undergraduate and high school students.
In total, 16 scholarships will be offered, starting in September 2024 and lasting until August 2025. The opportunities aim to promote the development of scientific thinking and initiation into research.

The scholarships offered include Scientific Initiation (PIBIC), Initiation in Technological Development and Innovation (PIBITI) and Scientific Initiation in High School (PIBIC-EM), with values of R$ 700 per month for PIBIC and PIBITI and R$ 300 for PIBIC-EM.
To apply for the vacancies, candidates must be enrolled in public institutions and meet the specific requirements for each modality. In addition, a quota of up to 30% of vacancies will be reserved for black or indigenous people.
The selection process includes analysis of resumes, research proposals or cover letters, and interviews. The final results will be announced on September 9, 2024.
