The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) released, this Tuesday (23), the list of approved candidates in the selection process for the Multiprofessional Residency in Healthcare for People with Disabilities (RESPCD). The new residents will make up the 9th class of the Postgraduate Program, considered a pioneer in Brazil.
Approximately 80 candidates participated in the selection process in 2025. Of these, 10 were approved. The positions will be filled by professionals with degrees in Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, and Occupational Therapy.
The Multiprofessional Residency in Healthcare for People with Disabilities has been offered by ISD since 2018. The program's main fields of activity are the Anita Garibaldi Center for Education and Research in Health (Anita) and the Specialized Rehabilitation Center (CER IV) of ISD, whose activities also take place at the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS), in addition to Anita.
The ISD is a reference in maternal and child health, the health of people with disabilities, neuroscience, and neuroengineering. Services are offered to the population through the Unified Health System (SUS), and at the CER, this includes people with Parkinson's disease; Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); spinal cord injury; microcephaly; hearing impairment; visual impairment; prematurity; and neurogenic bladder, among other specialties. It is the first CER in Northeast Brazil with integrated operations within a research and innovation system through collaborative work with the Postgraduate Program in Neuroengineering, offered at IIN-ELS.
