The selection process received 31 applications. 12 projects were approved and four were placed as reserves. The candidates went through two selection phases, which included document and project analysis and an interview with the supervising professors.

The Master

The curricular structure of the Master's degree in Neuroengineering is composed of mandatory and optional multidisciplinary courses, a qualifying exam, development of a research project, and preparation and defense of a dissertation. The structure was designed to overcome the barriers that exist between undergraduate courses in exact, health and biological sciences.

The curriculum consists of four mandatory subjects – two exact and two biological – totaling 16 credits. Furthermore, the student, with the advisor's consent, must select and take optional courses or complementary academic activities, totaling at least eight more credits.

In addition to completing the course credits, the student must defend their dissertation, which will account for another 64 credits. The minimum duration of the master's degree is 12 months and a maximum of 24 months.
