ISD is holding a new edition of SIG Re(h)abilitar this Monday; find out how to participate

The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) is holding another edition of SIG Re(h)abilitar this Monday (1st). The meeting will have as its theme “Parasports Development Model: the path of the person with acquired disability” and will be broadcast free of charge by the University Telemedicine Network (RUTE), starting at 1:30 pm.

The web conference will be led by Rodrigo Rodrigues, researcher and professor of Physical Education at the International Center for Neuroscience and Rehabilitation of the SARAH Network of Rehabilitation Hospitals, and by Rozilda Rodrigues, Paralympic weightlifter.

Since 2018, the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) has hosted SIG Re(h)abilitar, a series of discussions on therapeutic practices in the habilitation and rehabilitation of people with disabilities. In 2025, the meetings will focus on the theme "Parasports as a tool for inclusion." The initiative, in partnership with the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Health, and the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB), discusses the inclusion of parasports as a rehabilitation strategy within Specialized Rehabilitation Centers.

How to participate

SIG Re(h)abilitar broadcasts are held every first Monday of the month, starting at 1:30 p.m., on the RUTE platform. Participation is free; all that is required is carry out prior registration in the system.

For healthcare professionals, students, and other interested parties, the meeting represents an opportunity to delve deeper into the positive impact of sport on the rehabilitation process, based on scientific evidence and practical experiences of those who transform realities through movement.

RUTE Network

The University Telemedicine Network (RUTE), an initiative of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI) and coordinated by the National Education and Research Network (RNP), encourages integration and collaboration among healthcare professionals through Special Interest Groups (SIGs). Any healthcare institution or professional can participate in SIGs using their own resources. SIGs promote video collaboration sessions for debates, case discussions, classes, research, and remote assessments in various medical specialties and subspecialties for a variety of healthcare professionals at various levels of professional training.
