The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) has extended the registration deadline for the Master's in Neuroengineering. The initial period, which was supposed to end this Friday (14), was extended until Wednesday, June 19.
The selection process is open to graduates in the areas of Health, Engineering or Biology. Registration is free and must be made using an electronic form available on the ISD website (www.isd.org.br), following the Education > Postgraduate in Neuroengineering sections.
There are 16 vacancies available for admission in the second semester of 2024, distributed among broad competition (13 vacancies), graduates of the ISD's Multiprofessional Residency in Health Care for People with Disabilities (RESPCD/ISD) (two vacancies) and teachers/servants at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) (one vacancy).
The selection process takes place in two stages. The first, of an eliminatory nature, involves the documentary analysis of the letter of intent, letters of recommendation, Lattes CV and assessment of the candidate's suitability for the chosen project, each item scored according to the notice. The second stage, also eliminatory and qualifying, consists of interviews with those selected in the first stage.
Interested parties must indicate, at the time of registration, the project in which they wish to participate, with a total of 13 available in areas such as Electrophysiology, Pharmacology, Computer Systems, Neuroanatomy, Neuromodulation, among others, as detailed in the notice.
The Master
The ISD Master's Degree in Neuroengineering, created in 2013, is the first and only one recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) in Brazil in this area. Its objective is to train highly qualified professionals, capable of contributing in a global and interdisciplinary way to the development of research and products in Neuroengineering.
The program, free and lasting 24 months, has Biomedical Engineering as its area of concentration and takes place at the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neurosciences (IIN-ELS), an ISD unit located in Macaíba, about 25 kilometers from Natal. All students are entitled to free transportation from Natal to Macaíba offered by ISD.
