ISD professionals receive training from SAMU Natal

On November 18th, professionals from Anita Garibaldi Health Education and Research Center (CEPS) and students of the Master's degree in Neuroengineering Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS) received the Training for Basic Life Support, Immobilizations and Seizures offered by SAMU Natal. Also present at the course were some professionals from the Jundiaí Agricultural School of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), partners of CEPS in the Potiguar equine therapy project.

During the course, professionals from the areas of nursing, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, physiotherapy, veterinary medicine, occupational therapy, social work, pharmacy and speech therapy received instructions on basic life support, fracture situations, how to call SAMU 192 and burns and convulsions. All those present listened to the nurse's explanations. Jose Machado Junior and answered questions about some emergency circumstances. At the end of the activities, there was a brief practical exercise related to how to perform chest compressions and ventilations correctly.
