IIN-ELS promotes the IV Neuroengineering Symposium

O Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS), of Santos Dumont Institute (ISD), will perform the IV Neuroengineering Symposium in the days July 27th and 28th, 2017, in Macaíba-RN. The event will feature lectures, discussions and practical sessions that aim to complement the training of future researchers and teachers in the area, with the ability to generate new knowledge through the execution of independent research.

In 2016, more than 100 people participated in the event, which, in its fourth edition, features renowned speakers, such as:

 

This year, we celebrate the 200th anniversary of the publication of the article “Shaking Palsy” by James Parkinson. IIN-ELS will honor this date by inviting experts to compose the round table entitled “Parkinson’s Disease – Advances and Challenges”. The program continues with other topics relevant to Neuroengineering, such as brain-machine interfaces It is neuromodulation, addressed in the format of lectures, oral presentations of papers, poster sessions, mini-courses – hands on and guided tours.

The target audience of the IV Neuroengineering Symposium includes students (high school, undergraduate and graduate) and professionals in the areas of health, biological, engineering or technological sciences. The event will be held at Paulo Freire Auditorium – Anita Garibaldi Center for Education and Research in Health (CEPS/ISD), in Macaíba-RN.

Registrations can be made at event website (https://institutosantosdumont.org.br/simposio-neuroengenharia), at the cost of R$ 30.00 per participant, until the day July 18, 2017. Interested parties may submit scientific works for the poster session until June 18, 2017.

The IV Neuroengineering Symposium of IIN-ELS / ISD is supported by Brazilian Society of Biomedical Engineering (SBEB), from the Higher Education Personnel Improvement Coordination (CAPES) It's from Ministry of Education (MEC).
