The candidate must have a PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field; have experience in topics related to brain-machine interface, neuromodulation and neurorehabilitation, in mentoring postgraduate students; and teaching signal processing subjects.
The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, teaching, research and extension activities.
Required skills: analysis and processing of electrophysiological signals, modeling and computational simulation of signals in neural systems.
It is also desirable that the candidate has experience: programming (C++, Matlab, Python, etc.), processing on clusters or GPUs, analysis of linear and non-linear dynamic systems, neural simulators (Brian, Neuron, etc.), intelligence artificial and bio-inspired algorithms, machine learning, and robotics; publications in the area in journals of international relevance and participation in research projects.
The institute is located in Macaíba (RN), 14 km from Natal, with full-time, face-to-face work.
