O Anita Garibaldi Health Education and Research Center (CEPS) celebrates the recent completion of stricto sensu postgraduate studies by three professionals:
Lorenna Santiago, Coordinator of the Multidisciplinary Residency in Health Care for People with Disabilities at CEPS, defended her doctoral thesis on September 10th entitled “Effects of action observation combined with motor imagery on gait and electroencephalographic activity in individuals with Parkinson's disease: randomized controlled clinical trial”, in the Postgraduate Program in Physiotherapy at Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) and was guided by Ana Raquel Lindquist.
The CEPS medical preceptor, Rafael Pauletti, defended his master’s work: “Urology in medical graduation: how it is offered and what factors influence the choice of this specialty”. His presentation took place on September 13, by the Professional Master's Program in Education in Health Professions – Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences of Sorocaba da Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, and was guided by Luiz Ferraz de Sampaio Neto.
Felipe Nóbrega, also a medical preceptor, defended his thesis in the Professional Masters in Health program – Hospital Universitário Onofre Lopes (MPES/HUOL), from Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). The work titled “Prenatal care as an interprofessional education strategy in professional health training” was presented on May 30th. Felipe was guided by Marcelo Viana da Costa.
With this, CEPS Anita Garibaldi now has more than 40% of its teaching staff (teachers, preceptors and internship supervisors) made up of masters and doctors, which strengthens the mission of offering education for the health professions with zeal and academic commitment .
