At National Science and Technology Week (SNCT) of 2019 the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD)) promoted scientific outreach activities for elementary school students at the Isabel Gondim Municipal School and the Education and Culture Center, located in the Rocas neighborhood, in Natal (RN). Researchers and students of the Master's in Neuroengineering at Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS) were at the Virgílio Urbano de Araújo Library for the third time, where they offered explanations about how the brain works, what neuroengineering is and the use of virtual reality equipment to aid in rehabilitation. The activity was publicized by TV Universitária, from Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) and by InterTV Cabugi, an affiliate of Rede Globo, on the programs Bom Dia RN and RNTV 2ª Edição.
