Announcement of the participation of Edgard Morya, from IIN-ELS, in the Jury of Camp Serrapilheira.

Science communicator Edgard Morya

Edgard Morya develops research in the area of Neurosciences for over 15 years. However, in recent times his agenda has also included participation in dozens of scientific and outreach events in Brazil and abroad, to talk about the research developed at IIN-ELS and the potential of Neuroengineering in different areas.

“I see the invitation to join the Camp Serrapilheira jury as recognition for the scientific dissemination work that the Santos Dumont Institute has done in recent years, for scientific protagonism assumed in the Northeast region, decentralizing the production and dissemination of science beyond the Center-South axis”, explains Morya.

The IIN-ELS research coordinator will form an evaluation committee with the researcher and geneticist Stevens Rehen; physicist and PhD in science education Katemari Rosa; the science dissemination researcher Luisa Massarani; the editor and science reporter for Piauí magazine Bernardo Esteves; the founder of Olabi Gabi Agustini; the designer and visual artist HD Mabuse; the scientist and founder of Science Blogs Carlos Hotta; the doctor, professor at the Institute of Medical Biochemistry at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and writer Olavo Amaral.
