The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) has two open selection processes for hiring professor-researchers to work in the Postgraduate Program in Neuroengineering (PPGN) at the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS) in Macaíba, in the Metropolitan Region of Natal/RN. registrations They will remain open until January 30, 2026.
The positions are for professionals with a doctorate and an interdisciplinary profile, interested in developing teaching, scientific research, and academic advising activities in the areas of neuroscience, neuroengineering, health, and data science. Hiring will be under a CLT (Brazilian labor law) contract, with a 40-hour weekly in-person work schedule.
One of the calls for applications seeks a professor-researcher with training in areas such as Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, Computational Mathematics, Machine Learning, or Virtual Reality, with an emphasis on programming, software development, and data analysis. The other selection process seeks professionals with experience in processing biological, behavioral, or epidemiological data, as well as knowledge in statistics, biopotentials, machine learning, and deep learning.
The responsibilities of the positions include conducting interdisciplinary research, developing teaching activities in the classroom and laboratory, supervising graduate and undergraduate students, publishing scientific articles in qualified journals, and participating in institutional projects and fundraising efforts.
The base salary for the position is R$13,959.30, with an approximate average monthly value of R$14,945.30, including benefits such as food vouchers and meal vouchers. The benefits package also includes health and dental insurance, life insurance, and free transportation between Natal and Macaíba, in addition to working in open national reference laboratories in the areas of human electrophysiology, neuroengineering, and human-machine interface.
