The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) is accepting applications until October 8th for the selection process for grants under the Scientific Initiation Program (PIBIC) and the Initiation in Technological Development and Innovation (PIBITI) programs. The scholarships are scheduled to begin in October 2025 and last until September 2026.
Seven spots are offered in total, three for PIBIC and four for PIBITI, with spots reserved for Black, Indigenous, Quilombola, and disabled individuals. The monthly scholarship amount is R$$ 700, funded by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq).
Undergraduate students regularly enrolled in public higher education institutions and with an updated CV on the Lattes Platform are eligible to apply. Registration is free and must be completed exclusively online using the form available at: https://forms.gle/EjbaXkYaMH95PA4R6.
The scholarships are linked to the ISD's Graduate Program in Neuroengineering (PPGN), based at the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS) in Macaíba, Rio Grande do Norte. The goal is to foster the development of new researchers and stimulate scientific and technological innovation in the fields of neuroengineering, biotechnology, and rehabilitation.
The selection process includes resume analysis, research proposal evaluation, and an interview. The final results will be announced on October 14, 2025, on the ISD official website (www.isd.org.br).
