The application deadline for the Master's program in Neuroengineering at the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) has been extended until January 30th. The selection process is open to graduates in the fields of Health, Engineering, or Biological Sciences. Applications are free and must be submitted via an online form available on the ISD website. ISD (www.isd.org.br), following the sections Teaching > Postgraduate Studies in Neuroengineering.

For the first semester of 2026, the Postgraduate Program in Neuroengineering (PPGN) offers 14 places, including places reserved for people with disabilities, affirmative action programs, and graduates of the Multiprofessional Residency in Healthcare for People with Disabilities (RESPCD).

The selection process takes place in two stages. The first, of an eliminatory nature, involves the documentary analysis of the letter of intent, letters of recommendation, Lattes CV and assessment of the candidate's suitability for the chosen project, each item scored according to the notice. The second stage, also eliminatory and qualifying, consists of interviews with those selected in the first stage.

At the time of registration, candidates must indicate the project they wish to apply for. There are 14 projects distributed across areas such as translational neuroscience; assessment, diagnosis and intervention in clinical neurorehabilitation; transcranial electrical stimulation; neurorehabilitation; among other lines described in the call for proposals.

Master's degree in Neuroengineering

Created in 2013, the Master's program in Neuroengineering at ISD is the first and only one in the country recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) in this area of knowledge. Its objective is to train highly qualified professionals with interdisciplinary skills and the ability to develop scientific research and technological solutions in Neuroengineering.

The program is free, lasts 24 months, and is part of CAPES' Interdisciplinary evaluation area. Classes are held at the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS) in Macaíba, approximately 25 kilometers from Natal. All students have access to free daily transportation provided by ISD between Natal and Macaíba.
