Faced with the serious crisis caused by the new coronavirus , the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD), a Social Organization financed by the Ministry of Education, has adopted a series of measures since mid-March to reduce risks to the population and offer solutions on the various fronts on which it operates. Actions related to education, the dissemination of verified information about the precautions that the moment requires, in addition to the production of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for donation to hospitals have resulted from real task forces in its neuroscience and neuroengineering research center, O Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS), and in its training center for health professions and services provided by the SUS – the Center for Health Education and Research Anita Garibaldi. ISD is a reference in teaching, research, extension and care in maternal and child health, people with disabilities and in the areas of neuroscience and neuroengineering.
