Managers of the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD), a social organization linked to the Ministry of Education (MEC), participated in a series of strategic meetings in Brasília/DF with representatives from different ministries and agencies of the Federal Government over the past week. The ISD was represented by the manager of the Anita Garibaldi Center for Education and Health Research (Anita), Lilian Lisboa, and by the manager of the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS), Edgard Morya.

At the National Secretariat for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the managers presented the ISD's actions aimed at rehabilitation and research to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities. They were received by Anna Paula Feminella (National Secretary for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities) and Alex Reinecke de Alverga (Support Coordinator for the General Coordination of Institutional Relations), linked to the Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship (MDHC).
On another agenda, the managers, accompanied by representatives of the Augusto Severo Science and Technology Park (PAX | RN), participated in meetings at the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Farming and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, which were attended by Daniel Almeida (Secretary of Technological Development and Innovation), Milton Carvalho (General Coordinator of Assistive Technology) and Sônia Costa (Director of MCTI). The meetings addressed issues of interest to both institutions, reinforcing the importance of science, technology and innovation for social and economic development.

In addition, the ISD and PAX delegation visited the Civil House to discuss initiatives aimed at providing minorities with access to projects that stimulate science, health 5.0 and renewable energy. The meeting was attended by Maurício Baruchi (project manager), Dora Surgimoto (assistant to the Special Secretariat for the Solidarity Economy) and Ricardo Padilha (Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation).
The institutional agenda also included a meeting with the advisor to the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), Ângela Santana, former president of the Evaluation and Monitoring Committee of the Ministry of Education Management Contract (CAACG), who highlighted the evolution over the last few years of teaching, research and extension actions carried out by the ISD in different areas.
The delegation also participated in the Young Scientist Award ceremony at Sesi Lab. At the event, the managers and administrative director of ISD, Jovan Gadioli dos Santos, watched the award ceremony of the Institute's research professor, Gabriel Vasiljevic, who was awarded 3rd place in the “Masters and Doctors” category of the Young Scientist Award.

The meetings reinforce ISD's commitment to advancing science, education and technological innovation, strengthening strategic partnerships to expand the social impact of its actions.
