The Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) opened, this Monday (17), registrations for the selection process for the Multiprofessional Residency Program in the Care of People with Disabilities (RESPCD), for entry in 2027. 14 vacancies are offered, aimed at professionals trained in the areas of Physical Education, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Psychology, Social Work and Occupational Therapy. Two of the vacancies will be reserved for candidates with disabilities.

Applications can be submitted until 11:59 PM on October 4th, through an electronic form available in the announcement. The residency program offers a work-study grant of R$ 4,106.09.
The selection process takes place in three stages. The first, eliminatory and qualifying, is an objective theoretical test, with requirements based on the content outlined in the announcement. The second, qualifying, consists of a practical test assessing competencies related to healthcare for people with disabilities. Finally, the candidate will undergo a curriculum analysis, which assigns a score to their Lattes CV. The items evaluated in this final stage are specified in the Curriculum Analysis Table, available in the announcement.
RESPCD's activities are carried out in person at the two ISD units located in Macaíba: the Anita Garibaldi Center for Education and Research in Health (Anita) and the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS). Daily, ISD provides chartered transportation between the municipalities of Natal and Macaíba.
The ISD Residency Program integrates teaching, research, and outreach, focusing on strengthening the care network for people with disabilities within the context of the Unified Health System (SUS). In addition to access to the work environment within the ISD's care pathways, the resident will have the opportunity to engage with the research activities and projects developed at the Institute.
