Master's in Neuroengineering is still accepting applications; the program offers vacancies in eleven interdisciplinary projects

The selection process for the Master's degree in Neuroengineering at the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) is still open for applications for entry in the second semester of 2025. There are 11 vacancies offered, distributed across interdisciplinary research projects, which address topics such as neuromodulation in epilepsy, motor rehabilitation with brain-computer interface and studies on the acquisition of instrumental memories.

People with a degree in Health, Engineering or Biology can apply for the Master's in Neuroengineering. The program encourages the exchange of knowledge between multiple areas, fostering projects that involve the participation of diverse professionals, whether in basic research or in practical application of innovative technologies.

The vacancies are distributed as follows: one vacancy reserved for UFRN professors and staff; two vacancies reserved for graduates of the Multiprofessional Residency in Health Care for People with Disabilities at ISD; 20% of the vacancies reserved for candidates who self-declare as black, brown, indigenous and quilombola; and 20% of the vacancies reserved for people with disabilities.

Interested parties must indicate, at the time of registration, which of the available projects they wish to participate in, observing the description and desirable requirements as set out in the notice.

Created in 2013, the Master's program in Neuroengineering at ISD is the first and only one in the country recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) in this area of knowledge. It aims to train highly qualified professionals, able to act with a global and interdisciplinary look in the development of scientific research and products in the field of Neuroengineering.
