Macaiba, 142 years old

Posted in October 27, 2019

Macaíba turns 142 years old and the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) congratulates the city that welcomes him and, generously, makes his mission also part of this story.
It was no coincidence that our work came to live in this land! We chose Macaíba and Macaíba chose us. There are many examples of people from Macaíba who make us proud because they had the courage to question reality as it was, dedicated their lives to what they believed in and were not afraid to try to do more and better. Macaíba has also helped us to have this courage!

May all the good and love contained in the ideal of education for life be strengthened and multiplied and, concretely, may they contribute to the more just and humane transformation of Brazilian social reality.
We share the dreams, challenges and victories of the people of Macaíba and we feel very honored for that.
In the past, present and future, hope is a seed that is born, that sprouts in this place!
Congratulations and much strength for life, Macaíba!
