Historic

Due to the pandemic, JIMBN did not take place in 2020. The expectation is that, from 2022, with the advancement of vaccination and the drop in Covid-19 transmission, the event will once again be in-person and/or hybrid. In previous editions, the Journey brought together students from health courses and professionals in presentations of work and short courses. In 2021, due to the social isolation imposed by the pandemic, lectures will be held in the format of clinical case analyzes by students, ISD multi-professional preceptors and invited specialists.

The first edition of the event was held in 2017 in partnership with the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). That year, the Journey addressed topics aimed at multidisciplinary action in the care of children with neurogenic bladder (BN) in general. The model of care provided to these patients and ways to advance care strategies were discussed, a look at the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) on neurogenic bladder, bladder and intestinal dysfunctions in patients with spinal cord injury, in addition to the psychological support for the families of children with the condition.

In 2018, the main focus was on the treatment of children with neuromodulation, the profile of patients who seek a urologist, urinary tract infections and vesico-urethral reflux, in addition to physiotherapy management. In 2019, Jornada discussed neurogenic dysfunctions in neurotypical patients, with congenital Zika virus syndrome and in patients with Parkinson's disease.
