Posted in August 12, 2024

The deadline to register for the Move La América program has been extended until next Thursday (15). The announcement was made this Monday (12) by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), which identified, in recent days, fluctuations in the registration system for students interested in participating in the initiative.

Move La América aims to foster academic mobility and strengthen integration between higher education and research institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean. In this sense, the Postgraduate Program in Neuroengineering at the Santos Dumont Institute (PPGN/ISD) is offering 10 sandwich master's degree positions for foreign students interested in developing interdisciplinary research in the field of neuroengineering and neuroscience.

Information about the program is available on the ISD website (www.isd.org.br), in the Education > Move La América tab. Candidates must meet the requirements established by the ISD and the Capes program.

The selected candidates will be able to count on the excellent infrastructure and highly qualified multidisciplinary faculty of the ISD. The Institute, located in Macaíba, Rio Grande do Norte, is recognized for contributing significantly to the advancement of interdisciplinary scientific knowledge and for the development of new technologies for rehabilitation and assistive technologies for people with disabilities.

About the Move La América Program

The Move La América Program aims to complement the internationalization efforts of Brazilian Higher Education Institutions by attracting students linked to foreign teaching and research institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean, allowing for the strengthening of Postgraduate Programs (PPG) and the creation of an international institutional environment.

The Program will grant scholarships to Master's or Doctorate students linked to foreign teaching and research institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean, in the master's and sandwich doctorate modalities in Brazil, with a view to carrying out internships, research, extension activities and, eventually, taking courses in Postgraduate Programs (PPG) from Brazilian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Federal Institutes or Research Institutes, always in areas related to their field of activity.
