Macaíba hosts Paralympic Festival this Saturday; find out how to participate

The municipality of Macaíba will host, this Saturday (19), the Loterias Caixa 2026 Paralympic Festival, an initiative promoted by the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB) that seeks to spread the values of parasport and promote inclusion through sports practice. The event will be held in partnership with the ISD/Macaíba Paralympic Reference Center, linked to the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD). To participate, those interested must register. via online form until September 16th.

The activities will take place starting at 9:00 AM at the Manoel Gomes Gymnasium, in the Cajazeiras District, in Macaíba. The program will feature presentations of three sports: bocce, athletics, and sitting volleyball. A total of 250 places are available for the event.

Held for the first time in 2018 with over 7,000 children, the Paralympic Festival provides recreational and playful experiences in Paralympic sports, as well as promoting the Paralympic Movement throughout the country. 

The event aims to promote sports experimentation for children and adolescents with and without disabilities, aged between 7 and 23 years, encouraging inclusion, sports experience and strengthening the Paralympic Movement throughout the country.
