The deadline for submitting abstracts, papers and tutorials for the 10th Neuroengineering Symposium has been extended until August 26th, informs the event's Organizing Committee. Promoted by the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD), the Symposium will take place between the 12th and 14th of November, at the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neurosciences (IIN-ELS), an ISD unit in Macaíba.
The complete rules for submitting papers can be accessed on the ISD website, in the “Communication and Events” tab > “Neuroengineering Symposium”.
The Symposium provides an opportunity for researchers, students and professionals to share knowledge, innovations and recent developments, non-clinical and clinical applications, from animals to humans, in all aspects of neuroengineering, neurosciences and rehabilitation.
In its 10th edition, the event will focus on how neuroengineering can help the health of people with disabilities, both in the context of rehabilitation and increasing quality of life. This will take place in the thematic areas of Biomechanics, Neuromodulation, Serious Games, Brain-Machine Interfaces, Human-Machine Interfaces, Robotics in Rehabilitation, Signal Processing, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Neurophysiology, Electrophysiology and Neuroanatomy.
Submissions
All submissions will be evaluated by the Evaluation Committee to determine whether they meet the objectives and scope of the Symposium. Those deemed appropriate will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or not.
The scientific committee will accept abstracts (2 pages) and regular full articles (4 pages) with theoretical and practical contributions.
About the Symposium
The Neuroengineering Symposium was created in 2015 by the Santos Dumont Institute with the aim of complementing the training of future researchers and students. The event encourages the generation of new knowledge through independent research, as well as the articulation of research and teaching as agents of social transformation integrated into the community.
Registration to participate in the 10th Neuroengineering Symposium will open soon.
